Wind down the weekend the right way. DJ Honeycomb brings two crates of hand-picked rare funk 45s, northern soul deep cuts, and Motown floor-fillers to Boogie Bar every Sunday evening for the loosest, warmest session of the week.
Vinyl Only
No laptops. No USB sticks. Honeycomb plays exclusively on 7-inch vinyl, hand-cueing every transition on a pair of vintage Technics decks. The crackle is part of the experience — a reminder that this music was pressed into grooves by human hands and deserves to be heard the way it was made. Each Sunday’s set is different because the crate selection changes weekly, pulled from a personal collection of over four thousand singles.
The tempo stays in the sweet spot between head-nod and full-body groove. Think Dynatones into Eddie Bo into Sharon Jones back into a 1968 JBs instrumental you’ve never heard before. Every track earns its place.
The Sunday Ritual
- Doors at 6 PM, music from 7 PM to midnight
- Half-price Golden Hour cocktails from 6 to 8 PM
- Laid-back dress code — come as you are
- Lowest cover of the week — just enough to keep the wax spinning
Sunday is for the records that don’t fit anywhere else — the ones too funky for jazz night and too soulful for the club. This is their room.
